"The  power of one mind can shine into another,
             because all the lamps of the Great Spirit
             were lit by the same spark.
             It is everywhere and it is eternal."

                                                 PEACE TO YOUR JOURNEY!

Standing in contemplation on the path of my life, I have a fine view of my past; of where and who I have been.  But no matter how hard I strain to focus my vision, I cannot see more than a hazy impression of things  to come.  Somewhere, locked in the mists of yet untrodden peaks and valleys of transformation lies the secret knowledge of my future.

                                                         Moon - gazing

                                                         Looking at it, it clouds over;

                                                         Not looking, it becomes clear.

I was born and educated in England, and as an only child I shared many carefree vacations with my cousin's family. When we were little  we carried our shrimp nets, buckets and spades to beaches at South coast seaside resorts.  Later, wearing anoraks and "wellies" we waded through streams, hiked the moors and climbed mountains in England's wild and unspoiled Lake District.  As children we were always "messing about" in the outdoors, eventually returning home in muddy triumph with fistfuls of daisies, our faces stained with wild berry juice.  All these joyful activities, combined with my diverse family heritage of English, Irish and Spanish made it quite natural that I would continue to have a curiosity and appreciation for other lands, people and cultures.

In my early teens I chose Canada to be my new home, and many years down the road I am still exploring and enjoying my country's immense natural beauty.  Many times my " itchy feet " have carried me beyond our rocky and windswept shores; South to the United States and also to cruise the Caribbean Islands. Travel always enriches me spiritually; peak experiences have been at Machu Pichu in Peru, and a world away in the amazing purity and bio-diversity of New Zealand.

My first career had been in the world of banking and credit cards, but when my son was born I was a "stay at home Mom"; not wishing to miss one precious minute! I enjoyed an active life-style and our home and garden reflected the benefits of courses I had taken in Interior Design and Horticulture. My child's interests grew from Lego, Soccer and "Beavers" to hockey and computers and when he was ten I went back to school, graduating as a Health care Aide.  I had discovered a vocation, and my work with seniors was energizing and deeply rewarding.

One day something happened that changed my whole life. At the time I did not understand the value of this "Lesson" in my "Life-School" as author Gary Zukav calls our world, but much later I came to value this opportunity to become more empowered.  As my body struggled to recover from painful damage and limitations from a car "Accident ", my mind and spirit grieved the losses.  Gradually career, friendships, independence, family life and my partner all fell away.  However, without those challenging tests I might never have taken time to travel WITHIN MYSELF!  On that journey I discovered how to transmute pain and anger into strength and courage.  Experiencing the fire of Spirit forged an unbreakable bond with my higher guidance, even as my tears baptized my newly-born self into life.

After years of unproductive Health Care,  I began to explore other avenues for my healing.  I will always be grateful for the encouragement that I received from my Mother, son and small circle of true friends.  Thank you all for your wisdom and humour!  Soon massage and sound therapy coaxed flexibility into muscles that had forgotten how to trust, and exercises in a hydro-therapy pool brought benefits.  Still trying to heal myself, and with a long way to go towards independence I learned Reflexology, studied Personal Growth techniques and found myself a Naturopath.  For a while I went to group counseling, and learned how to cope as a single Mom.

Out of the blue, a friend invited me to join a small Reiki class with Master Cheyenne. After a week-end of simple training and an " Attunement " I became empowered as a channel for abundant Universal life-force energy; safe and gentle it was mine to use daily for my own healing and relief of the pain that had consumed my mind and body. I could even share this gift with others!    Years of practice and study have qualified me as a Reiki Master.  This and the power of forgiveness were my "keys " to releasing others; to free my own energy for use in more joyful ways.  I have added one more thread to the fabric of my life; daily meditation practice brings peace and balance, spiritual and creative inspiration.  My journey into " inner-space " continues...

I continue to be committed to the universal ideals of peace, liberty, responsibility and the right to chose and honor our own spiritual beliefs.
